This experiment will teach students about solvents and solutes! These are basically the ingredients in a mixture of a solid (solute) and a liquid (solvent). This experiment uses hot chocolate as an example. The actual experiment has a student put a piece of candy in his or her mouth and has them act differently with it like no sucking on it or sucking on it. The experiemnt teaches kids about the time required for an object to dissolve in one's mouth.

adding an entry on literature (books) and food--there is a program schools use to promote reading called "feed and read" (or vice versa).
